WHAT IS ELECTRIC TRANSPORT?
Understanding electric transport is simple. Rather than transporting yourself manually, such as on a standard skateboard, bicycle, or scooter, there is some electrical assistance added.
An electric motor provides a significant boost to the standard purpose of rideables. Depending on the vehicle or rideable, the electrical parts and features included may vary.
To define electric transportation more clearly, you would need to understand transport itself first. It involves the movement of humans from one location to another. The action itself is defined as a particular movement.
The first Electric Vehicle was developed around the year 1832 by Robert Anderson. However, it wasn't until the 1870s or even later, when electric cars became legitimately practical.
The first models of electric bicycles appeared in the late 19th-century. The U.S. Patent office registered several e-bike patents from 1895 to 1899.
Then there was the first motorised scooter, the Autoped, also known as a "stand-up" scooter (no need to push from the ground) in 1915. It went out of production in 1921, and then in 1986, the "Go-Ped" was introduced as the first production stand-up scooters. Peugeot produced the first electric scooter made available for purchase by consumers in 1996.
Finally, the electric skateboards start with Mr. Louie Finkle, also known as Electric Louie. He filed his patent in 1999, and in the late 1990s, Louie Finkle invented and patented the wireless electric skateboard.
The noise and air pollution coming from gasoline-powered vehicles paved the way for the electrical variety of transportation to be invented. Another motivation behind finding an alternative means of transport is the chance to experience the utmost convenience in commuting.
WHY YOU SHOULD BUY AN E-RIDEABLE
Choosing to transport via an electric vehicle is a personal choice. Still, you should at least be aware of the many benefits associated with using an e-bike, e-scooter, ore-skateboard.
The reason for purchasing one will come down to you and your preferences, but we are confident that many of these benefits will either come as a surprise or further back up why you should buy one.
Cost-Effective
Perhaps one of the most significant benefits of electric bikes, skateboards, and scooters is their cost-effectiveness in regards to transportation. If you think about all of the associated costs with your current transport, it piles up to be quite expensive - particularly with a car or motorbike.
When you own a car, motorbike, or any form of motorized vehicle, this would require an annual renewal of registration, insurance, and continuous maintenance that will potentially cost a lot.
With an e-bike, e-scooter, and e-skateboard, you can experience the convenience of commuting without the hassle, added costs of fuel, registration, insurance, and the list goes on. In other words, you save a ton of money every year.
You will need to charge your electric vehicle, and that's it. There are some maintenance checks you can perform, but they are relatively easy to do yourself, and you don't need to be licensed to ride one.
One of the biggest reasons people are inclined to use electric rideables is this - they do not cost as much as owning a car. In addition to that, e-rideables are user-friendly and make you feel less confined while being on the road.
The only significant cost involved will be purchasing the vehicle itself. However, there are many different options for you to consider in terms of budget and lifestyle. Plus, our company, E-Ride Solutions, offers exceptionally competitive prices for high-quality brand e-bikes, e-scooters, and e-skateboards.
ECO-Friendly
It is perhaps the second most significant reason for people opting to use electric transport instead of gasoline-powered vehicles. It's also one of the primary reasons for the invention of them.
Electric bikes, scooters, and skateboards don't release toxic fumes into the atmosphere.
They are incredibly positive for the environment because they are proven to produce a much lower level of harmful exhaust emissions.
It is regardless of the speed and weather conditions.
Electric transport relies on electricity to operate, and, therefore, produce far less harmful carbon monoxide than a traditional car, motorbike, van, or other road vehicles.
By choosing a more environmentally-friendly vehicle such as these, you are helping to minimise the harmful impact of our presence on the environment. You are helping to reduce your individual carbon footprint!
Not only that, but you are also supporting the businesses that wish to see a more ECO-friendly approach to transport. Climate change is one of the biggest threats to Earth and its survival, as well as the survival of its inhabitants - which includes us.
significant impact it has. Now, there are ways to help combat these emissions, and one of them is with electric transport.
Transport is the third-largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in Australia. Cars alone are responsible for approximately half of all transport emissions.
The primary climate solutions for transport, as outlined on the climatecouncil.org.au website, include the provision of viable alternatives to driving and electrifying/powering cars, buses, trains, and trams with 100% renewable energy.
This information alone is enough to prove that anyone can help reduce our impact on the environment by swapping from their current gas-powered vehicle to electric modes of transportation.
Electric vehicles use battery power to drive the motor. They do not burn petrol and fossil fuels. Therefore, they create zero direct carbon emissions.
If you are one of those people who use the car for just a few minutes to run a quick errand, maybe you will consider swapping to an electric bike, scooter, or skateboard to get the job done instead. Some of these rideables also come equipped with storage baskets to help carry your loads, too (like our Progear E-free 24" Electric Trike Bike).
Mobile + Efficient
Ever sat in traffic? Then you know how awful it is. Fortunately, electric rideables have a solution for that too. You can ride them on paths or to the side of the road!
E-bikes, e-scooters, and e-skateboards don't require you to ride on the road. You can skip all of that angering, frustrating traffic. That might mean a longer sleep-in before work, reduced stress by saving time commuting to and from work, and many other benefits you probably won't have realised until you try it.
There are also electric rideables that have a feature displaying the power use and charge time. This makes them incredibly efficient - you always know the charge left and your journey remaining until another charge is required.
Electric scooters, skateboards, and bikes are also incredibly easy to use, with most familiar with their traditional counterparts already. There are few additional controls to learn, but they are relatively easy to comprehend with most models. This might include how to brake, accelerate, decelerate, add a power boost, and more.
Other convenient features might also be Bluetooth connectivity with your phone, which is considered a "smart" feature. You always want to read the provided manual, rules, precautions, and other instructions regarding the particular e-rideable that you purchase.
Lastly, some models of e-scooters and e-bikes can also fold down to provide you with more space in your home, office, workplace, or when commuting with a train or bus, too. We do recommend this option if you prefer more space in your garage or wherever you want to store it.
Convenient + Senior-Friendly
Since your electric rideable has an electrically powered boost to it, that means you don't always have to exert as much energy. For example, with an e-bike, you can usually choose the pedalling difficulty, so that you can tailor the riding experience to your preferences. Thus, electric rideables are senior-friendly, too. Those with joint issues and who aren't as physically fit might also find convenience with electric rideables, which provide considerable assistance as opposed to traditional versions.
City commuters, in particular, find that they love the newfound effortless of getting around with their new e-bike, e-scooter, or e-skateboard. It carries out the most, if not all, of the heavy work that a traditional bike, scooter, or skateboard will do.
Going up a hill on a bike, for example, can be done without breaking a sweat if that's your preference. You can grab a quick bite for lunch during your break at work and get back in time without being late. You can effortlessly zip around with an electric rideable, no hassle!
Encourages Fitness + Getting Outdoors
You might initially feel confused that electrically assisted bikes, scooters, and skateboards can provide a health benefit, too. They definitely can!
As previously mentioned, many electric rideables will offer you unique features and functions that let you set your preferences with difficulty riding. Therefore, an e-rideable can contribute to a more healthy balanced lifestyle. Plus, because seniors can find them more straightforward to ride, it can also help them become more active at their age.
Remember that there are different models of e-bikes, e-scooters, and e-skateboards. The rider's lifestyle has dramatically influenced the various designs available in the market. There might be a model that is better suited to those who want to commute daily or those who enjoy cycling but want a smoother, less demanding cycling experience with easier hill climbs.
The other significant part about riding electric is that it encourages you to get outdoors more. You can feel the breeze on your face, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the sights that accompany your journey to work or any destination you may have in mind. When you travel by car, bus, or train, you don't get to experience this as much!
Plus, if you are recovering from an injury, new to working out, or returning to physical activity after prolonged inactivity, electric rideables are an ideal solution with their low-impact workout.
No License Required
Don't have your license, or maybe you just lost it? The great news with electric skateboards, bikes, and scooters is that you don't need a license!
That's one less hassle off the list. You don't have to worry about the cost of renewing your license, the worry of losing one, or carrying one with you when you travel because these electric rideables don't require you to have one. That also means you don't need to go through frustrating training or tests to acquire your license.
After buying an e-bike, e-scooter, or e-skateboard, you can get started riding immediately (after viewing the instruction manual, of course)!
This benefit applies to most e-bikes, although there are some limits concerning motor power and speed of the e-bike, it is still an enjoyable form of alternative transportation. If that is rideable, you want to get. These laws can differ depending on the country or state you are in.
Reliable & Fun!
Many people find electric rideables immensely fun with how easy they are to use and their mobility for a thrilling and enjoyable experience outdoors.
Electric rideables are generally very reliable. There is some degree of maintenance involved; thus, we have given information on this guide book to help you cope. For the most part, compared to many other forms of transport, electric rideables are incredibly reliable for their speed, efficiency, and design.
If we haven't convinced you yet, then maybe an electric rideable isn't for you. On the other hand, if we have caught your attention through these amazing benefits, read on to learn how to choose the right electric rideable for you and your lifestyle.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT ELECTRIC RIDEABLE FOR YOU
Here comes the most challenging part. How do you choose the right electric rideable for you and your lifestyle? What is going to get you the most for your money? What is more appropriate for your age and requirements?
There are three important steps that you want to go through first.
Step #1: Age
Consider your age. Age is a significant factor when choosing the appropriate e-rideable. You might be young and willing to go wild on an e-board, while seniors prefer something a little more secure, like an e-bike. Ultimately, this will be up to you, but age should definitely be considered.
With age comes weaker bones and muscles that may not be capable of certain processes involved with an e-rideable. Alternatively, you could feel less coordinated, have poor eyesight, and much more that can contribute to the safety of riding an e-bike, e-scooter, and e-board.
Take these age factors into consideration before buying the first electric rideable that you come across. You definitely don't want to regret purchasing the wrong one!
Summary:
- Choose a model with sufficient battery life
- Choose one that displays remaining power (or gives you a good estimate)
- Don't choose one that can't meet your lifestyle needs
Step #3: Environment
Determine the environment or the surroundings that you choose to travel or visit. Are there lots of paths to ride along? Is it mostly rough terrain, like dirt, grass, or other uneven surfaces?
Do you need to navigate through a busy city with many people on the paths and sidewalks? Is there a lot of traffic that you want to avoid in the quickest way possible?
It would be best if you consider the terrain and the environment in your decision making.
Summary:
- Choose an e-rideable that matches the environmental conditions + your preferences
- Pick the one which can withstand the terrain and type of environment with durability
Step #4: Hobbies + Interests
The final step is to consider the level of difficulty you prefer. This also comes down to age and physical limitations, too. Some people prefer to have the option of challenging themselves, while others want a totally energy-free experience.
Make sure that you choose a model that meets these criteria. We recommend one that does give you the option of setting different levels of difficulty so that you always have the choice of swapping if you are feeling a little motivated to workout.
It's important that you view the available features and functions of each model you are researching, so you can also base your decision on them.
HOW TO USE YOUR E-RIDEABLE
This is a question that always concerns people who aren't familiar with e-rideables or those who have never used one before.
The answer varies across each model of the e-bike, e-scooter, and e-board because each comes with its own unique features and functions. You can usually find a video related to the particular model you want, which will discuss how to use it. Typically, there will also be the provided manual which will give you in-depth instructions.
Essentially, though, there are the two primary things that you need to know. This is how to charge and how to ride your e-rideable with the different modes.
How To Charge
Charging your e-bike, e-scooter, or e-board is very simple. Included with your purchase should be a charger for charging.
For an e-bike, you will usually need to remove the battery pack from the bike. Make sure to switch it off first for safety reasons. Then, place the charger into a mains outlet and connect it to the battery pack. Turn the plug on, and that's it!
For an e-board, you don't usually need to remove anything. You connect the charger to the main outlet and then to the board. Eventually, it will allow the charging process of the battery pack inside the board.
An e-scooter is being charged similarly to the electric board. You plug the supplied electrical charger directly into the scooter. Locate the charging terminal and plug it in, with the opposite end in a mains wall outlet.
These are general guidelines. Before you charge any e-rideable, be sure to check the instruction manual supplied with it. It will define what you need to do to load your specific model.
Some e-scooters and e-boards will indeed have removable battery packs to charge separately, so always check the manual.
On a lot of models, you will also find the battery charging indicator, which displays a percentage of charge. You can take note of this to make sure your device reaches a 100% maximum charge. Furthermore, most supplied chargers will show a charging light indicator when you plug-in the battery, which will notify you that it is charging.
Typically, this will remain red until fully charged, in which case it will turn green. Please wait until the indicator light turns green before you disconnect it.
We recommend always unplugging the charger from the wall outlet when the battery is full on any e-rideable. Leaving it in could damage charging capabilities and potentially even the battery.
The charging time for each model varies from 3 to 12hours long, and your provided manual should specify an estimated time.
How To Ride
Riding an e-bike, e-scooter, and e-board is different for each type - the one thing that remains the same across each is the electrical power supply and boost. Read on to learn how to ride these three types of e-rideable.
"E-Bike"
The general idea of an e-bike is to pedal around and ultimately sweat less and expend less energy, making hill climbs and the overall journey much more enjoyable and more comfortable.
For some, though, they appreciate a bit of a challenge.
Many modern e-bikes will provide you with this variety of options to suit your preferred level of difficulty.
Remember, there are specific requirements which influenced the different models of e-bikes. Some might be more appropriate for steep hill climbs to others.
First and foremost, be safe! Get an appropriate helmet and any other protective gear you want to use.
Second, you need to turn on the battery supply and put it in (if it isn't already). You should hear a distinctive "click" sound to signify that the holder is in place. You should also be able to check the battery level indicator to make sure you have enough battery for your trip.
Next, you will need to power on the e-bike. Typically, you do this with a power button located on the handlebars. You might need to press it once or hold it down for a few moments, depending on the model. You can quickly check your provided manual for these instructions, too.
If your e-bike has an LCD display, which most newer and modern e-bikes have, then this should come on after pressing the power button.
Next, you will want to choose your "pedal assist level." This is the level of difficulty preferred. Consider the trip you are about to take, will it be easy or challenging without the electric assistance? This should help you decide which level is best for you.
If the ride is going to be easy, maybe a pedal-assist level of 3 or lower will be sufficient. There are advanced LCD displays that indicate the travelling (speed) and how far you have driven.
If you want to get more of a workout, you can also choose to turn the pedal-assist off completely, but the display should still show you how fast you are going (if your model has this feature).
The next part of an e-bike you should understand is the "torque sensor." The torque sensor is excellent because it can help determine how much of a power boost to give you during your trip.
For example, if you are travelling on a flat surface and are pedalling quite lightly, the e-bike will give you a small amount of support. If it notices you are trying to pedal up a challenging hill or go quite fast, the e-bike will provide additional power.
If you're worried about the brakes, don't be! The brakes on all e-bikes are generally very powerful. If you brake suddenly, the electric motor will cut out, so braking is immediate. When you want to proceed, simply start pedalling again, and the e-bike will work its magic.
Once you have returned from your journey, be sure to re-charge the battery supply, so that it's ready for your next trip.
You can take a look at the vast e-bike range we have available on our website, which includes mountain, folding, trike, vintage, and city e-bikes.
"E-Board"
E-boards are rising in popularity amongst many skateboard-lovers. Those who want to navigate seamlessly around their city or suburb is being popular.
E-boards can be a little more difficult to learn than an e-bike or e-scooter. It would help if you mastered your ability to coordinate but also because they would require the remote control to function and navigate it appropriately.
First, you need to make sure you find your footing on the e-board. In other words, know where you want to place your right and left feet - one will go at the front and the other at the back.
Next, you need to maintain a solid stance on an e-board, which is crucial for your safety and the safety of others. It's probably a good idea to get familiar with a traditional skateboard first before buying an e-board if you have never ridden either before. Also, be sure to wear a helmet with your e-board, just like you would normally!
Third, you can start to get familiar with your e-board with your supplied remote control. This remote control is essentially your "link" to the e-board because it's how you tell it to go and stop. Hold it comfortably in your hand.
Remember that each model can vary slightly, but generally, this remote control will have several things. The first is an "engage" button, which you will need to hold down to roll the throttle component forward, thus making the skateboard go ahead. By opening your throttle, you accelerate.
Respectively, roll the throttle component backward to "stop" the e-board and go backward. It is the part where you need to practice and get familiar with how the e-board moves simultaneously with your remote control's operation.
Next are the "ride modes." It would be best if you started in the beginner mode to get familiar with the e-board. The thrill and wild rides can come later with the more advanced ways, which offer quicker acceleration and braking.
The remote control shall indicate the mode you are using. The light might blink once, or there could be another type of indicator. It is best to check your manual for further instruction on your particular e-board model.
Once you find your unique stance on the e-board (correctly placing on the board), move the throttle forward to go forward slowly.
To turn your e-board, keep your knees bent and shift your weight to your toes to turn the e-board "toe-side" and shift your weight to your heels to become the e-board "heel-side." Simple, right?
It can take some practice, so take the time to get familiar with these movements before proceeding and always keep your eyes forward and focused on staying out of harm's way. It is easier to turn with increased speed, so try not to go too slow on your e-board. If you are having a hard time turning, you might need to pick up the speed a little. Alternatively, we recommend searching for some videos that can show you precisely what to do.
Once you are more comfortable with your e-board and have built up the practice, you can take on more thrilling moves. One of them includes the "kick-tail," which provides even more manoeuvrability. You do this by sliding your rear foot back towards the tail of the e-board - but don't lean too far back, or you could be in trouble!
E-boards come in several sizes. We offer both mini and long-board versions, as well as "all-terrain" and "street" models that are specifically designed for these environments. You can take a look at more examples at our website, E-Ride Solutions.
E-boards are the most challenging electric rideable but definitely the most rewarding. As with every e-rideable, be sure to charge your e-board after use.
"E-Scooter"
E-scooters are excellent for those who want comfortable transportation that allows them to experience the outdoors simultaneously.
Before using your e-scooter, stand it to an upright position. You might need to flip a latch to unlock it to this position, depending on your model.
Next, turn the power on your scooter. You do this by pressing the allocated "on" switch, which might need to be pressed down for a moment. If your e-scooter is equipped with an LCD display, then you should be able to view some information after turning it on. This might include battery life and distance travelled, for example.
Your e-scooter might also come with different modes that have set speeds. Be sure to set it to the first mode if you are a beginner.
Make sure that the battery life is sufficient for your trip before heading out. If you are also new to riding an e-scooter, get familiar with all of the functions before starting. In particular, note where the brakes are on the handlebars.
Here, there should be a handbrake. Most e-scooter brakes are quite sensitive, so there's no need to use it aggressively. Go easy on the brakes until you become more familiar with riding it.
Next, you need to find the throttle. It is what you use to either increase or reduce the power and, thus the speed, of your e-scooter. Hit the throttle, and away you go!
To stop, use the hand or foot brake, and remember to turn the power off once you have reached your destination to conserve it for the next ride.
If you want to fold your e-scooter back up, engage the latch once more, and that's it!
If you are unfamiliar with e-scooters, always read the user manual before riding to get the best information tailored to your specific model.
Lastly, always wear protective gear, including a helmet and long-sleeved clothing! Knee and elbow pads never hurt, either.
Remember to increase your speed when starting gradually. Don't go full speed initially, or you could end up hurting yourself or others. Take it slow and steady with lots of practice before getting confident with your riding. Find a big, empty, open space to practice where you can minimise the risk of hurting people.
If you do think you're about to fall, the best way to handle this is to let go of everything (the handlebars and throttle) and jump away from the scooter.
If an e-scooter is the perfect e-rideable for you, then there's no better place to start browsing than at our E-Ride Solutions website, where you can explore a variety of e-scooter models to suit you.
For ultimate comfort while riding the Zero range or electric scooters was designed with incredible suspension. It is perfect for challenging riding conditions. There are many brands and models to browse with different specs, features at different prices.
"Electric Unicycle"
With the advent of technology came the various kinds of electric rideables. Modern-day gadgets and gizmos do have batteries that work with very advance technology. Eventually, this paved the way for electric rideables of all sorts to evolve. There are various e-scooters, hover boards and electronic bikes to choose from for the riding public.
One of the most attention-grabbing and coolest e-ride that you may be interested in is the unicycle. This type of alternative means of transportation has been the latest trend across the globe. Electronic unicycle has reached the Australian shores.
Although this fun electric ride might require its user some degree of mastery compared to electric hover balance boards or e-skateboards, with some time of practice, riders will surely enjoy owning a unicycle. We honestly believe that riders will come to appreciate the added versatility, speed, and range which electric unicycles can offer.
How does a unicycle Work?
An electronic unicycle is utilising a gyroscope system to help the user achieve balance without much effort. Plus, it helps the rider achieve an upright position while gliding and on-route. It does not help you balance the ride. Thus, you need to develop your balancing skills and manoeuvring your electric unicycle.
MAINTAINING YOUR E-RIDEABLE
If you just purchased your e-bike, e-scooter, or e-board and want to keep it in high-quality the condition then should learn the fundamentals of maintaining it.
An electric rideable is a crucial investment, and you should want to protect it.
Four maintenance requirements for this includes cleaning, storing, battery maintenance and servicing, and tire pressure. There are other maintenance requirements involved depending on the type and model.
Cleaning
To keep your e-rideable looking beautiful, keep it free of any dust particles or dirt. Never allow dust that has been sitting on it for prolonged periods. Use a wet cloth to wipe it down or scrub it clean. Remove the battery if it is not the built-in type. You want to avoid getting the battery wet.
Use a gentle hand when wiping down your electric rideable. Don't use a high-pressure hose, or you could penetrate the electrical parts with water!
Make sure all of your electronics contact points are completely dry before re-inserting the battery or any other electronic parts. If you are cleaning the removable battery, wipe it down with a damp cloth.
Storing
It would be best if you didn't store the battery or electric rideable with an integrated battery in extreme temperatures. Never expose the unit to biting-cold or sweltering heat. Bring it inside with your location is exposed to extremes of temperature.
When storing, it's best to bring it inside anyway. It will protect it from potential theft, hail damage, rain, wind, dust, and many other environmental factors. The garage or any storage room will work correctly, and you can also cover it with a blanket when not in use for prolonged periods.
Battery Maintenance & Servicing
Caring for the performance of your electric rideable's battery doesn't just stop when your ride ends. When you are charging, be sure to do so in a room-temperature environment. Keep it dry when possible - NEVER charge a battery when it's wet.
If you are transporting your e-bike, e-board, or e-scooter using your car, we recommend removing the battery (if the battery is not the built-in type) and keep it with you inside the vehicle. You have to do this to keep it away from being exposed to rain while on the road.
Never try to fix any broken electronic parts of your e-ride all by yourself. Instead, please take it to a professional or the dealer you purchased it. It will ensure you don't accidentally break or mishandle the critical electrical parts.
Depending on the type and model of electric rideable you purchase, as well as your lifestyle needs, the maintenance requirements will vary. For example, if you use an e-bike daily on rough terrain, it might need to maintained more frequently.
It much depends on how you ride, your body type, and much more, which will impact the number of services necessary to keep your electric rideable in top condition.
Tire Pressure
You NEED to keep your tire pressure maintained if you're going to ride on an e-bike, e-scooter, or e-board. Bicycle tires, in particular, lose pressure very quickly. You can read your provided manual on how much tire pressure you should have in there, and you should follow this accordingly.
As a rule of thumb, you need to check your PSI pressure at least once a month, preferably every 2-3 weeks. Otherwise, you'll notice the reduced tire pressure starting to affect the range, performance, and handling of your e-bike. Many riders initially believe it's their battery performance when instead, it's their tire pressure faltering.
Other important things to note for particular types of electric rideables include:
- Keeping the chain on an e-bike well lubricated and clean
- Changing the grip on an e-board
- Changing electric scooter tires when worn out (similar to cars)
- Regular brake tuning and replacement of brake pads if/when necessary
One other thing we'd like to point out is that most electric rideables on the market today can go through puddles and become wet. They are water-resistant, but not waterproof.
The one thing you don't want to submerge is the controller part of an electric rideable.
Other than that, park your e-rideable in the shade or store it inside, wipe it down gently with a damp cloth, and stick to your manual's instructions.
WHY E-RIDEABLES ARE THE FUTURE
Over the past few years, the number of people opting to use electric transport has risen significantly, contributing to a positive environmental impact.
The population on Earth is only going to grow, with more cities and houses to develop. Electric rideables are going to be turned to much more often to avoid the conflicts of traffic, living and transport expenses, and to reduce hassles.
That is why e-rideables are the future. When you're sitting in traffic for over an hour each day, what is faster and more efficient? The car or those people riding e-scooters,e-bikes, and e-boards nearby?
If there's one big takeaway from this information we have provided to you, it's that you can help save the environment while also saving yourself high costs and hassles.
People are also finding electric rideables the more attractive choice of transport because of their stylish, trendy, and modern look, too. Furthermore, because you don't need a license (in most cases), that's one less cost and worry for people also
.Seniors love the ability to feel mobile despite their age, particularly with e-bikes ande-scooters. It encourages them to feel youthful in mind and body, getting them out of the house with a comfortable yet healthy mode of transport.
Lastly, their mobility to zip around quickly and effectively makes them an excellent choice for anyone, especially with a variety of different models to choose from that cater to specific lifestyles. There's virtually no reason why you can't fall in love with an e-rideable.
E-bike, e-scooter, and e-board retailers have also seen exponential growth in sales and interest over the past few years. The number of people buying these e-rides is increasing in numbers. It also shows that more and more people are opting to use an electric rideable as an alternative form of transport.
For example, in 2018, the global e-bike market was valued at USD 14,755.20 million and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.39% during the forecast period of 2019-2024! E-bike sales are even overtaking regular bike sales in the Netherlands.
Electric transport is the inevitable future to live sustainably and efficiently. This mode of transportation isn't something to ignore, but rather should be considered as an extremely helpful alternative with the lower costs associated (plus the sport!).
