Exposure to Weather
Certain environmental factors such as exposure to natures elements, poor maintenance, exposure to salt air
will have a detrimental effect on the longevity of your bike. It is recommended that you keep your bike indoors
and under cover when not in use. If the bike is exposed to sand and salt please clean immediately. Never hose
or blast your bike with a high-pressure hose or regular garden hose as there is potential for the water to
penetrate and compromise the electrical components.
Notes on Reasonable Wear & Tear
Like any regular bicycle or sports equipment intended for use, proper care and attention needs to be taken as
well as ongoing maintenance to ensure parts and components remain in good and safe working order.
While the fat tyre bikes can go on the beach, we do not recommend this as there the sand and salt particles can
be harmful to your bike if not cleaned properly. If you do choose to use the bike on the beach you do so at your
own risk and we recommend getting the item cleaned and serviced professionally to avoid any potential issues
to your purchased product.
Certain parts we recommend maintaining to get the best life out of your purchase include:
Brakes: Adjusting cables, monitoring, and replacing brake pads, cleaning disc rotors where applicable
Gears & Drive Chain: Including gear cables,
Wheels & Tyres: Including wheel rims, Tyres, and tyre tubes
With regular use of your bike, these parts will need to be serviced and maintained and we recommend getting
your bike tuned up at least every 6 months by a professional.
