Motor and Battery Information:
CRICKET has a 60V 1500W Brushless DC motor.
CRICKET has a 80Ah Lithium NiMnCoO2 battery. This Lithium (similar to Tesla) battery is so much better than the standard Lead Acid Battery, in many ways, including much improved performance and overall driving cost.
In practice depending on driving style, terrain, load, speed, climate, etc, CRICKET will take you about 70-80 km distance with the 80Ah battery. You may get more, but remember Lithium batteries have a short end phase in their power supply, so run out quickly, just like your phone.
The CRICKET 80Ah Lithium NiMnCoO2 battery has an actual expected 70 km travel distance.
The CRICKET NiMnCoO2 battery should be charged when the battery has been discharged to about 80% DOD (20% SOC). [DOD is Depth Of Discharge : SOC is State of Charge] This will be when the battery charge shows about 57V while driving at a steady speed on the flat.
Do not let the battery voltage go below 55V at any time while driving. The BMS will shut off at 52V.
The CRICKET NiMnCoO2 battery life-span is rated at 500 cycles, if treated properly. They are designed to last for up to 10 years.
In summary, with regular standard use they will do 500 cycles, and up to 8 years depending on usage.
Please note, this information is as per this particular type of Lithium battery and is not what you may know or be told about other types of Lithium batteries.
